While the quirky design might not be everyone's 'cup of tea', this stylish tea press makes a great cuppa.
Despite the very large volume, this beautifully designed product is well balanced and surprisingly easy to pour, even with my wrist problems.
The press allows you to compress the tea leaves, stopping the brewing at exactly the point you want it; the tea won't 'stew' and continue getting stronger in the pot.
The sturdy stainless steel filter cleans easily and looks built to last, unlike some of the mesh filters I've seen.
One thing to note, the filter isn't as fine as a mesh filter and if you use the standard 'floor sweepings' sold as tea in Australian supermarkets, you will have fine particles in the bottom of the pot. I usually buy Dilmah loose leaf and just leave the last couple of centimeters of tea in the bottom of the pot.
After years of (successfully) using my Bodum coffee press as a tea pot, I'm happy I finally chose this lovely tea press.
