Because they are made from mouth-blown glass, these vessels might exhibit slight differences in height, weight and thickness. You will also need to use care when putting ice in them (perhaps put the fluid in first, then the ice) and Bodum suggests avoiding the use of metal spoons with them as this might fracture the inner layer of glass.

Also, although Bodum considers the glasses to be dishwasher safe, they suggest that you do not place them in a crowded dishwasher.
