We recommend that you descale your kettle every few months. This can be done by creating an equal mix of white vinegar and water in your kettle and leaving it to soak overnight. If the lime scale is really built up then you may need to boil the solution in the kettle. A descaled kettle will last longer and boil faster and may also help you to avoid warranty issues.
My new Tefal just arrived, I was doing the first boil to clean it and filled it right to the 0.8 l marker, but when it came to the boil it bubbled over the top, ran into the cupboards & across the floor before it turned itself off. It would have done it the second time as well, but I was there to stop it. So having now given myself a serious steam burn, and cleaned up the mess, I'm not too impressed with my new Tefal kettle. I wonder if anybody else has had this experience, or am I just unlucky?

Everything I wanted
My old kettle was too heavy and I find I am always boiling more water than I need, thus wasting energy. This kettle is only half the weight and holds enough water for my needs. It boils fast too!

Great Lil Product
